Christos Kouroupetroglou was awarded his PhD in 2010 and his thesis subject was "Semantically enhanced web browsing interfaces". During his PhD research he investigated the impact of Semantic-Web based assistive interfaces in web browsing. He worked for a period of approximately 5 years in a variety of research programmes in the ATEI of Thessaloniki. The most important of them was SeEBrowser project (http://seebrowser.it.teithe.gr/), which was funded by the Greek ministry of Education and aimed to provide a set of tools to improve web browsing experience of visually impaired users. In parallel, he also taught as a scientific and laboratory associate at the ATEI of Thessaloniki and in Mediterranean college of Thessaloniki in modules related to Internet Programming, Databases and Applications Development and Administration. Evangelia Kolega has received her PhD from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Her main research issues are WSN applications of large scale and even on Body Area Networks. Moreover, she is involved in projects regarding Network Security and IP networks. Until very recently, she has served as a research fellow at National Hazards Centre of NTUA. Eva received her MSc degree in Networked Information Systems from the University of Piraeus and the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the NTUA, Athens, Greece. She has worked for over 17 years as a network engineer and researcher for network companies, academic and research institutions. Some of them are the Greek Research and Technology Network (GRnet), the Computer Technology Institute of Patreus, the Network Operations Centre (N.O.C.) of the University of Piraeus and the N.O.C. of Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I.) of Athens. Dr. Mata Ilioudi graduated in 2004 from the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus. She continued her postgraduate studies at the Department of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics & Business, where in 2005 she received her Master of Science in Information Systems. She holds a PhD from the University of Peloponnese and has published papers in the field of IT, and especially of Health Informatics. At the same time, she has contributed to scientific journals as a reviewer. Her presence in the field of education began in 2005, and, among other things, she has taught in the School of Programmers of the Greek Army and Vocational Training Institutes. The context of research involved the enhancement of wireless network technologies regarding video applications, the enhancement of antennas and other technical issues. Role responsibilities also involved the mentoring of postgraduate students for their dissertations in collaboration with the University of Bristol. He holds a patent (shared with Prof. Andrew Nix) titled “Antenna Assembly for a Wireless Communication Device” (WO2012004602), published on 12th January 2012. He has also been awarded a runner up position at NMI (National Microelectronics Institute of UK) as Young Engineer of the Year 2009. Dr. Apostolos Ampatzoglou is a Guest Researcher at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Groningen, where he carries out research in the area of software engineering. He holds a BSc on Information Systems (2003), an MSc on Computer Systems (2005) and a PhD in Software Engineering by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2012). Moreover, he has worked with several football clubs as well as the National Greek Track and Field team providing first aid care, injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation when needed. Dr Maria Mitsiou is an Adapted Physical Educator who graduated from the Physical Education and Sport Science Department of τηε Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and from the Physiotherapy Department of Technological Educational Institute (A.T.E.I.) of Thessaloniki. She is specialiσed in Musculoskeletal Disorders. She has completed the MSc programμε “Physical activity and Quality of Life” in the Physical Education and Sport Science Department of τηε Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, were she was first in her class having a special interest on Psychomotor Therapy. She was awarded her PhD in the “Effects of music, exercise and physical therapy during haemodialysis on the cardiac autonomous nervous system” from the same University with specialisation in Cardiac Rehabilitation. In between her PhD studies she received a training fellowship as the best PhD student from the Research Committee (AUTh). She completed successfully the four Greek sign language courses and gained her certification. Dr Mitsiou is also certified in reading and writing Braille system. In 2005 he came back to Greece and he was licensed as a physiotherapist after attending two semesters in the A.T.E.I. of Lamia physiotherapy programme. He has attended a number of seminars and courses regarding musculoskeletal rehabilitation (lower limb biomechanics, orthotics construction, myofascial release techniques, upper limb rehabilitation, taping, explain pain). Moreover, he has been certified from the Hellenic Institute of McKenzie therapy (cert.MTD) and the Manual Therapy courses of H.OMT-D. She completed her postgraduate studies in English and American Children's Literature, University of Reading UK, in 2007 and in Creative Writing, University of Western Macedonia Florina, in 2012. She is conducting a PhD research in Social Literacy and Creative Writing in Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, exploring renovations in creative approaches to the curriculum. She has conducted research and published widely in the areas of children’s literature in education, social literacy and creative writing-based teaching approaches, and research methodology. She has worked in the private sector as a kindergarten teacher. She gained her clinical experience working with patients suffering from epilepsy and other neurodegenerative disorders (adults and children) at the National Hospital of London (NHNN), providing neurocognitive diagnostic evaluations and rehabilitation services. Since 2008, she is scientific associate of “Hygeia” Hospital, where, apart from testing patients after brain injury and neurological diseases, she provides neuropsychological evaluations for patients pre- and post-DBS surgery. She works in private practice with patients suffering from neurocognitive disorders and offers rehabilitation treatments. Eleni is a Clinical -Child Psychologist and has obtained her PhD and her MA at the University of Essex, in the field of Psychoanalytic Studies and her BSc in Psychology at the same university. She is specialiσed in Musculoskeletal Disorders. She was awarded her PhD in the “Effects of music, exercise and physical therapy during haemodialysis on the cardiac autonomous nervous system” from the same University with specialisation in Cardiac Rehabilitation. In between her PhD studies she received a training fellowship as the best PhD student from the Research Committee (AUTh). She completed successfully the four Greek sign language courses and gained her certification. Dr Mitsiou is also certified in reading and writing Braille system. Nick Gerentes holds an MBA degree from Gaton University of Kentucky. He also has a BA degree in Administration and Management of the Tourism Business department from the Higher Technological Institute of Patras. He has long experience of teaching Tourism, Business Administration and Marketing at both, private and public educational institutions. Particularly, he is the head of Business section in the XINIS Institute of Vocational Education in Piraeus area, while he is also teaching the above disciplines at a public educational institute. He used to work for companies operating in tourism field (for instance, Novotel, Airotel Group), advertising (delivery.gr), and for public enterprises in development programmes (Public Power Corporation and the City Planning Commission). Michael Geranios holds a PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Aegean. Vassilis Angouras studied Political Science and Public Administration in the University of Athens and holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Social Science from the University of Edinburgh plus an executive Master in Healthcare Administration from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers of Paris. Since 1995 he has worked in various positions in the private and public healthcare sector in Greece either as a business consultant, either as a business unit manager or as head of hospital. Over the years he has headed four NHS hospitals and now serves as a special advisor to the Minister of Health. Outside the healthcare sector, he has also worked for the Hellenic National Telecommunications and Postal commission. Teaches: Health systems management.Nonika Stamou
Nonika Stamou is a preschool teacher who specialises in inclusive education and the application of ICTs in the teaching practice. She has received a Master’s degree in Education and Human Rights – Education and Social Discrimination from the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, University of Athens, in cooperation with the Institute of Education, University of London. She has also received a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, University of Athens. She has worked at several kindergartens where she has created a variety of projects on health, environment and culture. She has also spent two years at the Greek Education Research Centre, participating in a research project on monitoring the educational system at the level of school unit. She has been accredited as an Academic Staff of Colleges and as Trainer of Continuing Vocational Training awarded from EKEPIS. She works as a tutor for the School of Education of Mediterranean College since 2008.
Vana Rozou
Varvara (Vana) holds a BA in Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of from the University of Athens and a BA in European Cultural Studies from the Hellenic Open University. She holds a Master of Education and a Master in Ethics (University of Athens) and is a PhD candidate at the same university. She has attended specialised courses in Professional Counselling (K.E.A.E.S.), at the Psychology Department of the University of Athens and has published articles in academic and scientific journals and conferences. Eleni Pateraki obtained her BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She specialised in Social/Clinical Psychology within the same university. She was later funded by the British National Health Service (NHS) to complete her second MSc in Applied Psychology for children and young people, focusing on health promotion and early intervention (positive parenting, positive behavior support). She obtained her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at the University of Edinburgh, where she paid particular attention to adapting cognitive-behavioural treatment (CBT) and acceptance-and-commitment therapy (ACT) in the context of physical health difficulties. She has several years of experience in public sector community and hospital-based mental health settings both in Greece and the UK working with adults and children. She has a considerable number of publications in international peer reviewed journals and conferences and has provided teaching and training for Psychology or Allied Health Professionals’ CPD and MSc courses.Dr. Theano Koutsoupidou
Theano is the Head of the School of Education at Mediterranean College. Previous to her current post, she had been holding teaching posts at higher education institutions including the University of the Aegean, the University of Athens and the European University Cyprus, colleges, vocational training institutes, secondary schools and early childhood centres. She holds a PhD in Education and a PGCE of ‘Learning and Teaching in Higher Education’, both from the University of Surrey (UK) and a 1st Class Degree of Music Studies from the University of Athens, which was undertaken with scholarship by the State Scholarship Foundation. She is an active researcher involved in independent and collaborative projects. She currently undergoes research on musical play, funded by The Froebel Trust, UK. In 2006 she received the ‘Young Researcher Award' by the European Society of the Cognitive Sciences of Music and in 2012 she was awarded by the Society for Education and Music Psychology Research and the Greek Ministry of Education for her research contribution. She is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), former Editorial Board Member of Arts Education Policy Review and Article Reviewer for major academic journals. Her research interests are in the field of early childhood education, teacher training, creativity and child development. She is certified adult educator by EOPPEP.

Natalia Zetou
Natalia holds a degree in Educational Science and Early Childhood Education from the University of Patras and an MA in Curriculum Pedagogy and Assessment from the Institute of Education, University of London. She has attended specialized seminars and conferences in current educational methodologies (Reggio Emilia Approach, High Scope Approach, Project Approach) in Greece as well as abroad and is a member of NAEYC (National Association of Early Years Children) in the USA. Natalia has also attended a 450-hour seminar entitled “Special Needs Education: Learning Difficulties –Dyslexia” at the University of Athens. She was employed as a kindergarten teacher and in Charge of Curriculum in private kindergartens for many years. During the past few years, she is instructing future teachers on pedagogy. Furthermore, she is member of the team who founded and runs a series of seminars intended for parents of pre-school children. It focuses on positive discipline and is entitled ‘Happy Parents = Happy Kids’. Recently, she published two books with prewriting activities for kindergarten children entitled ‘Pencil in hand’, available from Patakis Publishers. Dr. Anna Papazisi is a Civil Engineer who graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the Polytechnic School of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh) and a Geologist from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). She holds a MSc in Engineering Geology from the University of London, Imperial College and a Ph.D. in Rock Mechanics from the Geotechnical Engineering Division of the Civil Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School of AUTh. She has participated in research projects and she had received a fellowship in the research project PENED. She works as: 1) a Scientific Associate at the Civil Engineering and Geomatics and Surveying Departments of the Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I.) of Serres since 2002, 2) a Civil Engineer in Attica Bank since 2006 and 3) a freelancer engineer and geologist since 2003.Dr. Nikolaos Maragkos
Dr. Nikolaos Maragkos is a Civil Engineer graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of Engineering Faculty in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.). He also holds a postgraduate degree "Master of Science in Antiseismic Design of Structures" from the Civil Engineering Department of A.U.Th. and a Doctoral degree (PhD) in Tunnelling from the Geotechnical Engineering Division - Civil Engineering Department of A.U.Th. Dr. Maragkos has published an array of articles in academic and scientific journals and has made numerous presentations at international conferences.
He works as a Public and Private Works Designer and he is a member of a Public and Private Works Construction Company. He teaches at the School of Engineering at Mediterranean College since 2011. Christos Kouroupetroglou acquired his PhD in 2010 and his thesis subject was "Semantically enhanced web browsing interfaces". During his PhD research he investigated the impact of Semantic-Web based assistive interfaces in web browsing. He worked for a period of approximately 5 years in a variety of research programs in the ATEI of Thessaloniki. The most important of them was SeEBrowser project which was funded by the Greek ministry of Education and aimed to provide a set of tools to improve web browsing experience of visually impaired users. At the same time, he is as a scientific and laboratory associate at the ATEI of Thessaloniki and a teacher in Mediterranean college of Thessaloniki in modules related to Internet Programming, Databases and Applications Development and Administration. His latest research efforts include the participation in the e-Accessibility2020 study which aimed to explore and analyse the referred relationships between the emerging ICT landscape, in the societal and economic context and the development and provision of assistive technologies (AT) and e-Accessibility, within a perspective of 10 years and he is also a member of the W3C WAI RDWG (http://www.w3.org/WAI/RD/). Apart from web accessibility, his research interests also include HCI especially adaptive and intelligent interfaces, Semantic Web and Web 2.0 technologies and mobile HCI.Dr. Ioannis Kotziampasis
Ioannis Kotziampasis graduated with a first class degree from the Computer Science Department of the University of Essex, UK in 2000. He received his PhD in 2004 from the University of Bristol, UK, his thesis was about Distributed Computer Networks and Virtual Environments and it was founded by EPSRC. His research interests are in Computer Graphics and Distributed Network systems. He has worked as a Software Engineer in various companies for several years for development of Computer Games, Multimedia titles and Web Services including the first computer game developed in Greece titled ‘Runaway’ which was published in 1997 by MLS Multimedia and was presented by MEGA channel. He worked as a lecturer in Technical Institute of Technology (TEI) of Serres from 2005 until 2009, teaching Visual Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms and Web Programming. He worked as a Research and Education Coordinator in the National Centre of Public Administration and Local Government and in the IT department of the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace. Mr Stavros Karpouchtsis is a psychologist, graduated from the Department of Psychology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a postgraduate degree "Master of science in Counselling Psychology" from the University of Sheffield. He works as a psychotherapist in private practice while teaching at the Psychology programmes of Mediterranean College (HND & Bachelor). He is trained in the person-centered psychotherapy and in the systemic psychotherapy and counselling. He cooperates with the center of Adlerian Psychology in Thessaloniki and the International center of Systemic Therapy in Heidelberg, Germany. He has numerous participations in International conferences and he has published papers in scientific journals and conferences. His research interests focus on issues which concern the areas of Clinical and Counselling Psychology especially anxiety disorders, marriage counselling and group therapy.
